Madison Ave & 57 StI saw Spike Lee casually walking down the street dressed as pretty much the same way he always looks. No entourage, and seemed pretty chill and relaxed. And yes... I still reached for my wallet and helt it a little tighter as he approached.

E 52nd St & Madison AveWas in a small pharmacy refilling a prescription when I noticed the person talking loudly on his cell was Spike Lee! Wearing his trademark glasses. As he signed for his meds he was telling someone on the phone that he didn't want to meet any more actors--just crew. Seemed very normal though not using an inside voice on the cell.

200 Central Park WSpike Lee wearing his requisite Yankees cap at the American Museum of Natural History. He was chillin next to the allosaurus in the main lobby. A bunch of kids were running around. I dunno if any of them were his.

Lexington Ave & E 63rd StSpike Lee this morning walking up Lex. Mars was wearing his signature glasses and his "Forty Acres" letterman jacket . Likely headed to Le Pain Quotidien. He loves that place.

E 97th StSpike Lee filming his new pilot outside my building on E. 97th street last night around 11:30. Gave a sympathetic nod and "whats up" to my boyfriend after I pushed past him without noticing who he was, bitching under my breath about the gigantic lights shining right into my bedroom window.

8th Ave & W 33rd StSpike Lee at Borders by Penn Station, wearing a white velour suit and is really small. Walking hand in hand with his young son. I hope that was his son. Otherwise that would be weird.

535 W 116th StSaw Spike Lee, 3rd floor Hamilton Hall at Columbia. He was walking back and forth, hanging out. A couple of students talked to him but there wasn't much conversation. He seemed to enjoy being recognized.

455 Madison AveHad breakfast next to Spike Lee at Istana at the Palace Hotel. Didn't notice what he ate, but it was clearly a business meeting (his guest was scribbling furiously on a Spike Lee notepad) and Lee paid cash for the meal.
